Isobel Trigger: Logo design and branding for Canadian rock band

Isobel Trigger is a Vancouver based ‘indie dance rock’ band that released their first EP, Nocturnal in 2014, and won Group of The Year at the 2015 Vancouver Island Music Awards.

I was approached by Isobel Trigger to help develop a visual brand that complemented their personalities and reflected the high level of energy experienced at their live performances.

The design represents the idea of change—a forward movement in people’s lives (both the band and audience). The bold uppercase typography has a balance of masculine and feminine qualities that would be at home if used for a fashion label. The energy of the band is further reflected in a high contrast, glittery, and sophisticated colour palette. It is an empowering image—playing on the band name—hinting at purpose and transformation.
