N45 Architecture Inc. is a Canadian architecture and design firm based in Ottawa, Ontario. N45 delivers an interactive process that materializes each client’s vision while considering the long-term impact of design decisions. Their work includes the beautiful Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts (seen in the image directly below)
Clients of N45 Architecture Inc. enjoy direct contact with a senior partner throughout the design and building process ensures clear communication. The process of successfully designing, building, and managing a project relies on continuous input, feedback, and understanding and we wanted the N45 branding to convey these ongoing conversations.
The symbol is constructed of two elements—an abstract n and a line placed at 45 degrees—to form a speech bubble. The symbol can also be interpreted as an open door, or as breaking free from a box—both in thinking and in design. Green is used to convey a healthy relationship.
Quotations relating to the theme of conversation are used on the back of the letterhead, and letterpress business cards provide a lovely tactile element to the branding, reflecting the high-quality results of N45’s partnerships.
